COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM

 SMRITHI Date : 29/08/25 On 29th August 2025, as part of the NSS Community Visit Smrithi Programme, a group of students from Sabarigiri College of Education visited Sukrithi Bhavan. Prior to the visit, various items were collected—kitchen groceries, books, and daily essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and lotion. Once at the college in the morning, everything was neatly packed into boxes. The visiting team included eight seniors Unnimaya, Shifana, Aparna, Silla, Anuroop, Shamnad, Aravind, and Arathy together with five juniors and our teachers Shamla Miss, Sreedevi Miss, Jaseena Miss (NSS Coordinator), and Shyam Sir. All the items were loaded into vehicles, and the team reached Sukrithi Balashramam by 11 a.m. At the Balashramam, where 14 students resided, the program began with an engaging ice-breaking session. ONAM CELEBRATION

 ONAM CELEBRATION Date:26 & 27 August 2025 Our Onam celebration at Sabarigiri College of Education took place on August 26th and 27th. The festivities began on the 26th with the unveiling of our beautifully designed Onam banner carrying the theme “Dhe Maveli Pinem”. Soon after, everyone gathered in the auditorium where fun games awaited us. Juniors, seniors, and teachers alike joined with great enthusiasm. We were delighted when Dr. Sabari Sir graced the occasion with his heartfelt Onam message. The games created an atmosphere of joy and laughter lemon and spoon, sundariku pott todal, sack race, kulam kara, biscuit kadi, vellam kudi, pazham theeti, and spin and make a goal kept the spirit high. After lunch, we shifted our focus to practice, preparing our dance and song items for the next day’s program. FRESHERS DAY

 FRESHERS DAY- Aagamana Date : 25/08/2025 On August 25, 2025, our campus at Sabarigiri College of Education came alive with excitement as we celebrated Freshers’ Day for our juniors. The event was beautifully themed “Aagamana,” symbolizing a warm and vibrant welcome. To make the celebration a success, all of us seniors took up different responsibilities by forming committees such as decoration, food, program, and cleaning. I was officially a part of the cleaning committee, but I also joined hands with the food committee to help wherever possible. The stage setup was one of the major highlights of the day. It was creatively designed to look like a movie set, with balloons arranged to resemble popcorn buckets and a large clapboard as part of the décor. The hall was transformed into a colorful, festive space, ready to host the much-awaited event.  WEEKEND GENERAL REFLECTION Date- 18/8/2025 On August 18, 2025, a reflection session was organized at Sabarigiri College, held in the general hall from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.The program was graced by the presence of our principal, Roy Sir, along with respected teachers Sreedevi Miss, Meenu Miss, Revathy Miss, Jaseena Miss, Rakhi Miss, and Shyam Sir. The session began with Joyce from Sabarigiri School, who enthusiastically shared her enriching school experience. She reflected on how the internship helped her improve her personality development, voice modulation, and classroom management techniques, while also allowing her to build a strong emotional bond with her first-standard students.Following her, Jerin from our school St. Goretti H. S. S Punalur, explained how her teaching skills had advanced.  Week -05 MONDAY - FRIDAY ( 11/08/25 to 16/08/25 ) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE   22 DAY : MONDAY:11/08/25 Today, I reached school at 9:15 a.m. and signed the attendance register. The assembly began at 9:14 a.m., and soon after, I received a substitution in my concerned class for the first period, where I taught the topic' Role of Liver and Pancreas in Digestion' . Sister Neethu accompanied me to observe the class. As the syllabus was incomplete, Sister Neethu arranged three consecutive classes in 9A during their IT and Health periods. In the third period, I taught the topic ' Digestion Process in the Stomach' , which was scheduled in their Health period. During the lunch break, we participated in the mid-day meal programme and served food to the students. After lunch, I got two more substitutions in my concerned class during their IT period, where I taught ' Digestion Process in the Small Intestine' and 'Digestion Process in the Large Intestine' . ...

WEEKEND REFLECTION

 Date: 10/08/2025,SUNDAY The Natural Science Department of Sabarigiri College of Education conducted the weekly reflection on Sunday, 10th August 2025. The meeting was held online through Google Meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.The session began with representatives from each school sharing their weekly reflections. Aparna started by presenting her own and Pooja’s reflections from Karavaloor School. This was followed by Akshaya from Karukone School, who shared her week’s experiences in a positive manner, and Arathy from the same school, who also described her classroom experiences. Next, Muhsina and I, representing St. Goretti’s School, shared our reflections. I mentioned the challenges I faced due to a recent change in the classes assigned to me, particularly the shift from English medium to Malayalam medium, which I found quite challenging.   WEEK -04 04-08-25, MONDAY to 08-08-25, FRIDAY  REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE  17 Day- MONDAY -04-08-25 On the 17th day of my first phase of teaching practice, I arrived at the school by 9:20 am, signed the register in the office, and then proceeded to my allotted place. The assembly, as usual, began at 9:40 am, where the HM addressed the students and announced the day’s programmes. The school had organised a Friendship Day celebration with a plant exchange and had also scheduled PTA meetings for both UP and HS sections. During the second hour, the programme ‘ചങ്ങായിക്ക് ഒരു മരം’ commenced in the auditorium. Students who had brought plants from home gathered there with their saplings. The HM delivered the welcome address, followed by the PTA president, who officially inaugurated the event.
