FRESHERS DAY

 FRESHERS DAY- Aagamana

Date : 25/08/2025

On August 25, 2025, our campus at Sabarigiri College of Education came alive with excitement as we celebrated Freshers’ Day for our juniors. The event was beautifully themed “Aagamana,” symbolizing a warm and vibrant welcome. To make the celebration a success, all of us seniors took up different responsibilities by forming committees such as decoration, food, program, and cleaning. I was officially a part of the cleaning committee, but I also joined hands with the food committee to help wherever possible.

The stage setup was one of the major highlights of the day. It was creatively designed to look like a movie set, with balloons arranged to resemble popcorn buckets and a large clapboard as part of the décor. The hall was transformed into a colorful, festive space, ready to host the much-awaited event.

When Monday arrived, our juniors entered the hall dressed as their favorite movie characters, instantly lifting the atmosphere with fun and laughter. The program began at 10 a.m. with an official welcome. Our Principal, Roy Sir, along with Sreedevi Miss as the staff representative, addressed the gathering with encouraging and inspiring words that set the tone for the rest of the day.

The cultural programs began with an energetic dance performance by Ashna and Soorya, which was followed by the reveal of the event banner carrying the name “Aagamana.” The juniors then took the stage in pairs to enact iconic scenes from movies, which turned out to be one of the most entertaining parts of the day. Their witty dialogues, funny imitations, and dramatic expressions kept everyone laughing and fully engaged.

The entertainment continued with more dance performances and a soulful musical performance by Ashna, which created a beautiful balance of energy and melody. Adding to the fun, Pooja organized lively games, bringing out the juniors’ enthusiasm and team spirit. The teachers too joined in by cheering and encouraging the students, making the event even more memorable.

The most unforgettable moment came when Sarath, one of the juniors, performed a thrilling dance, which was so infectious that even we seniors couldn’t resist joining him on stage. It became a joyous moment of bonding between seniors and juniors, breaking all barriers.

After a delicious biryani lunch, the program continued by 3 p.m., the program drew to a close, but not before filling our hearts with countless cherished memories. Freshers’ Day Aagamana was more than just an event it was a celebration of new beginnings, creativity, and togetherness, leaving both seniors and juniors with moments to treasure for years to come.
