A VISIT TO BUD SCHOOL DATE :31 JANUARY 2025 On January 31, 2025, the NSS volunteers from Sabarigiri College of Education visited Buds School, a rehabilitation center for mentally challenged students, located in Alayaman under Alayaman Panchayath. Their goal was to interact with the students, bring them joy, and provide educational materials. Accompanied by faculty members Jaseena Miss, Sreedevi Miss, and Pratibha Miss, the volunteers traveled by school bus. Although the school has 32 students, only a few were present during the visit.  The program began with a warm introduction by Aravind, setting a welcoming atmosphere for the event. This was followed by various cultural performances to entertain and engage with the students. Aishwarya and Ashna performed solo songs, while Ashna and Joysi sang a duet.   MARTYRS' DAY   Date : 30 JANUARY 2025  On January 30, India observes Martyrs' Day to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country. This date commemorates the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi in 1948 and serves as a solemn reminder of his principles of non-violence, truth, and unity. People across the nation pay tribute to Gandhi and other martyrs through silent prayers and various events. At Raj Ghat, Gandhi’s memorial, the President, Prime Minister, and other dignitaries observe a two-minute silence to reflect on his contributions to India's independence movement. Schools and institutions also hold programs and discussions to inspire future generations with the ideals of peace, courage, and patriotism. ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAMME Date:29 JANUARY 2025 On January 28th, the NSS Unit of Sabarigiri College of Education organized a successful Road Safety Awareness Programme to educate the public about the importance of road safety. As part of the event, a rally was held with active participation from the college's teacher trainees.  The rally took place at Market Junction in Anchal, where the trainees marched with creatively made placards that highlighted key road safety messages. These placards covered crucial traffic rules, the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, the dangers of reckless driving, and the necessity of following speed limits.  In addition, pamphlets containing vital road safety tips were distributed to the public. These pamphlets focused on responsible driving, pedestrian safety, and the importance of adhering to traffic laws to reduce accidents.
