NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY

Date :29 January 2025

National Girl Child Day, observed annually on January 24th in India, is dedicated to raising awareness about the rights, education, health, and empowerment of girls. The day seeks to address critical issues such as gender discrimination, child marriage, and inequality, while also promoting initiatives that support the welfare of girls. Established by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2008, it underscores the importance of providing equal opportunities for girls in areas like education, healthcare, and career advancement. To emphasize the need for a society that treats girls with dignity and respect, various programs, campaigns, and awareness drives are organized nationwide.
