It serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their athletic talents, boosts school spirit, and encourages active participation in physical activities, which are vital for overall health. Furthermore, sports days help develop leadership skills, improve time management, and cultivate discipline and perseverance. They also provide a much-needed break from academic stress, uplifting morale and fostering a sense of community on campus.  INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION DATE: 15 AUGUST 2024 India celebrates Independence Day on August 15 every year, commemorating the end of British colonial rule in 1947. It is a day of national pride, honoring the sacrifices and struggles of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many others who fought for the country's independence. The event is marked by a ceremonial flag hoisting at the Red Fort in Delhi, where the Prime Minister delivers an address to the nation. Across India, people celebrate with cultural activities, patriotic songs, parades, and flag-raising ceremonies. Independence Day is a symbol of the nation’s unity, diversity, and its ongoing journey toward progress and self-determination. ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN

 ANTI DRUG CAMPAIGN  DATE :12 AUGUST 2024 On August 12, 2024, the NSS unit of Sabarigiri College of Education organized an Anti-Drug campaign in observance of Independence Day. The primary goal of the campaign was to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug use and to prevent people, especially the youth, from experimenting with or becoming dependent on drugs. The initiative aimed to educate the community about the negative impact of drugs on physical health, mental well-being, relationships, and society. Additionally, it sought to offer resources and support for individuals struggling with addiction, promote healthier lifestyle choices, and foster an environment that discourages drug abuse, empowering those affected by it to seek help and recovery.  The event was coordinated by our senior students.
