REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
35 DAY : MONDAY:22/09/25
Today, I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and went straight to the principal’s office to sign the attendance register. Shortly after, I joined the morning assembly, where students actively participated in prayers and announcements.
During the first period, I had a substitution in my concerned class, IX A, where I taught the topic “Stages of Ventilation.” In the second period, I was assigned substitution in Class V.D To keep the students engaged, I gave them some simple activities, and they participated enthusiastically.
The third period was again with IX A, my concerned class. This time, I explained the topic “Role of Alveolus and Blood Capillaries in the Exchange of Respiratory Gases.” The students listened attentively and interacted well during the session.
Later, a health awareness class was arranged for the 9th standard students in the school auditorium. It was an informative session that highlighted the importance of healthy living.
During the lunch break, I actively took part in the noon meal program by serving food to the students. It was a fulfilling experience to be part of their daily routine. The school dispersed at 1:00 p.m., and the students returned home safely.
In the afternoon session, a General Body P.T.A. meeting was held in the school auditorium. The discussions were productive and involved active participation from both teachers and parents. By 3:45 p.m., we concluded the meeting and returned home.
36 DAY : TUESDAY:23/09/25
Today, I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and went straight to the principal’s office to sign the attendance register. During the morning assembly, several announcements were made. It was shared that a poster-making competition would be conducted on Wednesday with the theme “World Heart Day.” Additionally, there was an announcement about a drawing competition: the morning session was for Upper Primary (UP) students, while the High School competition would take place in the afternoon. As B.Ed. trainees, we were assigned duties to assist in the competition and help select the winners.
The students participated in various competitions, including pencil drawing, watercolor, and oil painting, on topics such as Save Environment, Save Water, and AI Generation. It was inspiring to see their creativity and enthusiasm.
During the third period, I had a substitution in my concerned class, IX A, where I taught the period “Experiment showing the presence of carbon dioxide in inhaled and exhaled air.” The class was very interactive, and students actively engaged in the experiment and discussion.
In the afternoon, I participated in the noon meal program, where I helped serve food to the students, ensuring their needs were attended to. During the fifth period, I again had a substitution in IX A, which was an art period I conducted the class in the teacher’s absence with their consent where I teach the topic " Transport of oxygen from blood to tissue". Later, I took another substitution in Class 8 I, where I gave students some activities to complete.
The school day concluded at 3:45 p.m. with a prayer and the national anthem. After ensuring that all students had returned home safely, we also left for home.
37 DAY : WEDNESSDAY:24/09/25
Today, I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and first located the attendance register to mark my presence. During the morning announcements, it was shared that a poster-making competition would be held in the school auditorium. All students who had registered were encouraged to participate, and the winners were promised exciting prizes.
Following the announcements, I had a substitution in Class V D. During this period, I took attendance and assigned some activities to keep the students engaged.
In the fourth period, I taught my concerned class, IX A, covering a new topic: “Stages of Cellular Respiration, its Features and Products.” The students were attentive and participated actively in the discussion.
Meanwhile, in the morning session, the poster-making competition was conducted in the school auditorium as part of the school-based activities on the topic WORLD HEART DAY It was inspiring to see students expressing their creativity.During the lunch break, I participated in the noon meal program, serving food to the students and assisting with the smooth running of the activity.
In the sixth period, I again had a substitution in IX A, where I taught the topic “Transport of Carbon Dioxide from Tissues to Blood.” The class was interactive, and students asked questions to clarify their doubts.
The school dispersed at 3:45 p.m., and after ensuring that all students returned home safely, I also left for home.
38 DAY : THURSDAY:25/09/25
Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and signed the attendance register. During the morning assembly, prizes were distributed to the students who secured first, second, and third positions in the poster-making competition. Additionally, all participants of the competition were given a small gift as a token of appreciation for their efforts and creativity.
During the second period, I had a substitution in my concerned class, where I taught the topic “Structure of Hemoglobin, Conditions Leading to Anaemia, and Healthy Habits to Overcome Anaemia.” The students were attentive and actively participated in the discussion, asking questions and clarifying their doubts.
During the lunch break, I participated in the noon meal program, where I helped serve food to the students and assisted in ensuring that the process ran smoothly.
In the sixth period, I had a substitution in Class VI A, where I engaged the students with some classroom activities to keep them actively involved in learning.
During the seventh period, I returned to my concerned class, IX A, where I taught the topic “Respiratory Mechanism in Different Organisms.” The students were interactive, and the class discussion helped them understand the topic better.
After ensuring that all students returned home safely, we also left the school.
39 DAY : FRIDAY:26/09/25
Today, I reached the school at 9:00 a.m. and went to the principal’s office to sign the attendance register. The morning assembly started at 9:45 a.m. During the assembly, prizes were distributed as part of the Punalur Social Service Poster Competition. The first prize went to three students from Class 8G, who received a cash prize of ₹1,000 each, while the second prize was awarded to three students from Class 9F, who also received ₹1,000 each.
During the assembly, announcements were made regarding the Upajilla Social Science Quiz Competition, which was scheduled to be held in the school auditorium. Additionally, there was a പൊതിച്ചോറ് distribution for the Snehateeram Agathimandhiram, Vilakkudy. During the quiz competition, we B.Ed. trainees were assigned to provide guidance and mark the performance of students from various schools who participated in the event.
In the fourth period, I had a substitution in my concerned class, IX A, where I taught the topic “Role of Stomata, Lenticels, and Cells in Roots in Gaseous Exchange in Plants” The students were attentive and actively engaged in the discussion.
During the lunch break, I participated in the noon meal program, assisting in serving food to the students.
In the fifth period, I had a substitution in Class VII, which was a health period. I took the students to the school ground for physical activities and games, helping them stay active and engaged.
During the sixth period, I returned to IX A for a substitution class, where I taught the topic “Anaerobic respiration in lactobacillus bacteria and yeast, with examples from daily life” The students actively participated and asked questions to clarify their understanding.
The school day concluded at 3:45 p.m. after the prayer and national anthem. After ensuring that all students returned home safely, we also left the school.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
This week, the students of Class 9A were taught the following topics: 'Rate of ventilation',' role of alveolus and blood capillaries in the exchange of respiratory gases',' experiment showing the presence of carbon dioxide in inhaled and exhaled air','Transport of oxygen from blood to tissues',' Stages of cellular respiration features and products', and' transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide from tissue to blood'.' EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
On 22/8/2025, Monday Health class and PTA general body meeting was conducted in the school auditorium.on Tuesday a drawing competition was conducted in school auditorium for UP and HS, on Wednesday a poster making competition on world heart day was held on school auditorium,on Friday Upajilla Social Science Quiz Competition was conducted on school auditorium and പൊതിച്ചോറ് distribution for the Snehateeram Agathimandhiram, Vilakkudy was conducted
OVERALL REFLECTION ON CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
The students of Class 9 A were provided with a classroom experience focused on activities based on the teaching manual. A total of 10 teaching manuals were successfully completed. The lessons covered included ' 'Rate of ventilation',' role of alveolus and blood capillaries in the exchange of respiratory gases',' experiment showing the presence of carbon dioxide in inhaled and exhaled air','Transport of oxygen from blood to tissues',' Stages of cellular respiration features and products', and' transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide from tissue to blood'.' Structure of Hemoglobin, Conditions Leading to Anaemia, and Healthy Habits to Overcome Anaemia'. 'Respiratory Mechanism in Different Organisms', 'Role of Stomata, Lenticels, and Cells in Roots in Gaseous Exchange in Plants'.' Anaerobic respiration in lactobacillus bacteria and yeast, with examples from daily life' ' from the unit 'RESPIRATION AND EXCRETION '.To support learning, various teaching aids were used, including 12 videos, 16 slides, 7 charts 4 cutouts etc As a follow-up, students were assigned tasks like, Assignment, poster making,Flowcharts,diagrams, models making etc
