 ONAM CELEBRATION

On September 12, all the student-teachers and teachers of Sabarigiri B.Ed College gathered to celebrate Onam. As first-year student-teachers, we were thrilled to celebrate our first Onam at the college. We were assigned to different committees, with each group given specific duties. I was part of the decorating committee, and we arrived at college by 8:30 am to begin our work on the decorations.

 By 9:00 am, all the student-teachers had arrived, and everyone took up their responsibilities. Together, we created a beautiful athapookalam on the seminar hall stage. It was large and vibrant, and a small swing was also hung near the athapookalam. We made sure the entire college was aesthetically decorated. The event started at 11:00 am, with our founder chairman, Dr. V.K. Jayakumar, inaugurating the function, accompanied by Sabareesh sir. They both delivered inspiring messages encouraging us to become empowered. Our principal, Dr. Roy, also addressed the gathering.

 The celebration continued with various programs. Several games were held, with most students eagerly participating. There was a strong competition between the seniors and juniors. Fun games like kaserakkali and sundarik potti thodal were played, and everyone enjoyed them. We also had Onam songs and dance performances. At noon, we were served a delicious sadhya. After the meal, we had a vadamvali competition, which the senior team won, earning a bunch of bananas as a prize.

 The program concluded at 3:30 pm, and we left after completing the cleaning duties. It was a memorable day for all of us.

These activities provides cooperation among the students participated in these activities. It helps to develop the creativity of the students.  Week -07 MONDAY - WEDNESDAY(15/09/25 to 17/09/25) REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE   32 DAY : MONDAY:15/09/25 Today, I reached the school at 9:15 a.m. and went straight to the principal’s office to sign the attendance register. Soon after, I joined the morning assembly. During the assembly, the teacher announced that the Arts Festival would be conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday. The students were very excited to hear the announcement. After the assembly, I was assigned a substitution period in class 5C. I engaged the students with a few interesting activities, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The class was very lively, and the students participated actively, making the session a meaningful one.
