KOTTARAKARA PULAMON STREAM PROJECT
Cleaning efforts for the 'Recover Pulamon Stream' project commenced on September 27 in Kottarakkara, aimed at reclaiming the Pulamon stream, which flows through the Kottarakkara Municipal Corporation, Kulakkada, and Mylom Grama Panchayath. The cleaning campaign was led by Minister K.N Balagopalan, Kollam Rural SP K.M Sabu Mathew, and Municipal Corporation President S.R Ramesh Approximately 1,600 participants, including students, took part in cleaning the MC road area from Kunnakkara to Eyamkunnu.
This event preceded the Pulaman stream cleaning drive, scheduled for October 2, which will involve around 2,000 participants. The cleaning initiative saw the participation of NSS volunteers from schools and colleges, Kudumbashree, bonded laborers, traders, and workers from various voluntary organizations. Bus stands were also cleaned as part of the effort.
I, along with 10 other NSS volunteers from Sabarigiri College of Teacher Education, took part in the cleaning programme.We reached Kottarakara stand at 8:30 AM After the Official Inaguration of programme We actively participated and collected plastic waste from the surrounding areas and handed it over to the "Haridhakarma Sena." After completing our assigned tasks, snacks and tea were provided to us, and we returned home.

COLLEGE CLEANING
On September 27, as part of the NSS program, under the leadership of Jaseena Miss and other teachers of Sabarigiri College, All the NSS volunteers took part in cleaning the college, its surroundings, and nearby areas. The active participation of all the NSS volunteers contributed to the success of the programme
